Exactly right. I had the same problem with my 2000 Durango. Replaced the relay and it's now just fine. Note: Advanced Auto Parts did not have the right part in their computer - we cross-referenced the Dodge relay number to get the right one.

Confirmed - same problem with my 01 Durango, electric fan would not shut off and ran down the battery. I took out the relay, too it to Auto Zone - $12 replacement and works great. Easy fix. Good call, IndyDurango.
