Throttle body size/custom intake
just wondering if anyone knew how big the throttle body on a 2003 4.7L durango motor.. preferabbly in inches.. i'm working on a truely custom intake for it.. once it's done i'll get pics up and a how-to.. not you general CAI.. something special.
The newer 4.7's have a 68mm throttle body. That equals out to be:
68 millimeter = 2.6771653543 inch
Now the older 4.7's have 65mm which equals out to be:
65 millimeter = 2.5590551181 inch
But I am pretty sure that you have the 68mm. Now get those pictures up CHOP CHOP!! lol
Did I hear throttle boddy? if planning to upgrade talk to this man.....

well i'm not talking about the inside diameter.. i'm building one from the TB all the way out.. teaser.. it will have hidden filter(s)
once I get the prototype built (next payday) i'll be looking for a company to build an actual kit.. i'm more than happy to let a company sell these.. just throw a little my way (it will however require a few peices to be relocated.. i'll cover that as well)
my background in tuners and muscle cars helped me with this design.. i do mathimatics when i build stuff.. lol it's kind of funny.
if any D would like to be a gunnea pig to another Ram air CAI design feel free to send me a message i'd love to build it.. you just get the parts (requires slight relocation of the radiator/AC condenser

Well I'll check into it but you got to send me the idea. I'm not giving any endorsements to my Durango owners without first hand knowledge of this contraption weather I try it or not.
The foremost thing here is, you are singling out 4.7L so hows about the big boys 5.2L and 5.9L?
