Default 2000 5.9 Stalling when in Drive, but not Park

Wondering if anyone else has this problem or how to fix it. The situation is when I am stopped at a light in Drive, the RPMs will be at 800 but sometimes dip to 300 then stall out. If I shift it into park this does not happen and RPMs remain at 800. Replaced the battery and TPS, but the same thing happens. Checked the sparkplugs, ignition coil, and sparkplug wires and everything is in good condition. Of course, no code is returned when I hook up the code reader. At this point I don’t know what to look for next, rear wheel speed sensor or something with the trans.

Okay is there any type of sputter before it dies? like gasping for air or misfire? Or does it just drop to 300 and dies?

Nope. Just drops to 300 RPM, somtimes it rebounds to 800, other times it stalls

IAC sensor needs to be replaced or Throttle Body cleaned as well as the IAC. Look here:

Sounds almost like my issue, except I alway feather the gas so it won't stall. Check out my thread on sputtering and bogging to see what I've done, still with nothing resolved!
