Angry 2001 dodgedurago 4.7 rebiuld turns but wont start

hello all

this car was serviced for an oil change. they topped off the radiator and broke the in line filler.

without knowing this was broke, the owner took a trip to MT. Baldy. it over heated real bad.

after cooling (and being towed home) the engine started but ran rough and lost oil presser after just few moments (then it was towed to me).

I did compression test and had no compression on cyl. no.7,

I took the valve cover off and verified intake valve not seating.

at this point I did some research and found a lot of forum post that said this motor has a oil slugging issue.

since it over heated so bad and it was sludged up, I decided full rebuild would be best.

I pulled the motor in two days.

the machine shop had it for three days for the rebuild,

they confirmed a intake valve seat that had fallen out of the head on cly. no.7.

replaced all the pistons, did valve job, turned crank, new oil pump, water pump, you know the works.

and then i took two days to put it back in.

well $2200 and two weeks later i still cant start this @#$!%& thing!

(only $1800 went to the shop the rest is parts I"ve replaced since)

I've checked wiring, replaced sensors, rechecked wires, checked relays/fuses, swapped relays/fuses.

best i can come up with is.

IT HATES ME!!!!!!!!
kidding i hope????????

anyway
the asd relay and pcm seem to me the area of concern.

with the key on get voltage at coils and injectors for about two seconds then nothing.

if i crank it i get low voltage >10v at the coils and injectors.

i have also gotten a number of different dtc's all at different times in the last two weeks.

some make sense, as i have disconnected sensors and tried starting while trying to diagnose this system.

codes i remember p0320 , p0505 , p1391 I've seen several these just stuck in my head.

any body got an idea please help
and i hope this edit is easier to read

Post spacing is king.

Proper post spacing.

Short sentence here, long sentence there. No punctuation. Real hard to read. Cant keep up on either of your posts. Sorry.

My head hurts now. From what I understand you are getting a glow plug code on a 4.7L? That is a first for me. What type of diagnostic reader are you using and what are the exact codes?

sorry for the incoherent post.

I'm using a generic elm 327 scantool w/ proscan software & scanxl.

the glow plug code may have been same code for different car make i think it was p0380.

it was recent and i may have misread the code it could have just been another p0320

any way the most recent code is p1391 witch my software reads as a wheel sensor code.

also i got hold of a actron scan tool with an obd2 cartridge and a sunpro sensor tester.

while reading the sunpro manual (yes i do that) and thinking about this....

could the grounds to the engine be a problem if they were painted over...

sorry if this is a stupid question ....

one more thing,
my buddy wants to know if power washing the engine bay while the motor was out

could have caused a problem?

i know this may be out there, but its been over two weeks and were out of ideas.

I would cover all of your electronics, PCM etc but it should be find. I've pressure washed mine before using a heated washer. I kept the engine running and was careful to not spray directly into the air intake. Personally I think its easier to spray a cold engine with simple green, let it soak and rinse it down with low pressure water.

Did replacing the crank sensor help? Any new codes?

I am now almost 100% sure i got a bad computer(pcm)

after the sunpro told me both my new sensors were bad i pulled them.

then just for giggles i hooked up the actron scanner to read codes,

and got "no codes system passed " as a response....

no codes?!! I turned the engine over with both sensors disconnected!

so i went to the view data screen, scrolled down to engine rpm,... and cranked the engine for a few........

rpm stayed at zero the whole time not even a bump as expected(remember I pulled both cam and crank sensors)

this should definitely set dtc's..... but it didn't not one?

so i think I've finally got it cornered but well see.

heard there's a place in OC that rebuilds them.
I'm gonna call tomorrow.

Well considering this is a 2001 you have a OBD-II reader installed OEM in the PCM. You can dance the key to reach the codes. Follow instructions located here (up front) Engine Code Index (Check Engine Light?) and give us the correct codes:

Also you need to reset the PCM and yes the washer could have gotten something wet.
