quick question about the Converter lock (trans)

Default quick question about the Converter lock (trans)

if it wasnt working properly would it show up with the check engine light.??

It should, but don't rely on that light.. u should get a code like a P code.. to get this depending on what year you have you can get this code from the dash (2000 up) or take it to autozone and have them pull the codes.



another way is to watch the tach, you will see it drop every gear and then see it drop on converter lock (looks just like a gear shift on the tach)

you will see 1-2-3-4- converter lock on the tach

ok now i found this


Okay next time you drive it you need to count shifts.
This is what you should feel
1-2-3-4 then converter lock.

is this with the over drive on or off???
