Default Steering question

I am pretty sure my power steering pump is going bad as it was making a grinding noise when turning, now it has progressed to a louder noise and does it at idle. My question is the last couple of times it has been driven when turning sharply (all the way to Lock) it will make a popping noise when turning the wheel back to center. Doesn't do it in normal turning situations. Is this related to P/S pump going south or a whole other issue? FWIW upper and lower BJs, tie rods have all been replaced recently, 1 year ago or so. TIA

Well lets see here, guessing it could be bushing, a bad piman arm ext..

When you replaced the ball joints and tie rods did you replace both inner and outer tie or just the outer? rods? both lower and and upper ball joints? what brand did you use? have you been greasing them as you should?

Both lower and upper BJs, inner and outer tie rods replaced. Upper bjs are the mopar recall bjs, tie rods are mopar, and lower bjs are moogs. Yup been greasing them as well.

Well the only thing i can think of right of hand that would make such a sound like you are describing may be a CV joint/shaft

Could be the worm gear in the steering box.
