Yeah, basically. Just clean as much gunk out of them. being where they are salt, snow, mud and dirt all go tossed up back there.
Its really not to bad, Some would suggest changing your bolts while they're off but i'm still using my same old bolts and i haven't had any issues. Some people just like to replace things while they can.

Yeah true enough. But this is more "if it aint bad dont replace it." lol If this is even a quote? I might be the first one saying this. well probably not but w/e.
Good luck on the lift when you attempt it. If you run into problems let us know a lot of us have done this lift if not, we know how to do it. (feels good to finally say i know somethin lol) my auto mechanics are not so great

The auto-zone shackles worked great. Just needed some washes in between on the top. Pretty easy to do. This was my first time doing a lift. I did use all new bolts also. I just have this habit of replacing old worn out things with new shiny things. Total cost was about $55-60.
If you have a hitch remove that first, but remove the spare tire before the hitch. Also check the air in your spare![Smile](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
1. Jack up frame(use jackstands)
2. Take off tire
3. Put jack under leafs(just incase)
4. Bang out bolts and take off old shackles
5. I used a bottle jack and wood inbetween the leaf springs and frame so I could get everything in position.
6. Bolt up new shackles. (I did leaf side first then uppers)
7. I did both sides first then tightened everything snug
8. Drive then do torsion bars. (torsion bars are VERY straightforward. I just jacked one wheel off the ground a little)
9. Enjoy your new lift
Pictures and hardware list to come.
