Default Clattering on cold starts

Not sure if its always done it and I never noticed it, or it just started. But when I cold start my "D", It sounds like theres not enough oil and the engine is knocking for like 2-3 seconds then sounds fine. Anyone have any ideas? I use Full Synthetic oil BTW.

if you have the 4.7 anytime it sits for a long period of time (6-8 hours +) there will be a lifter tick, its normal, mine has done it since my parents bought it new
as long as it goes away with in a fe second (the longest i think mine lasts is maybe 30 sec after starting) then i wouldnt worry about it

+1. 4.7s tend to 'slap' at start up. Keep the oil changed regularly to make sure that isn't adding to the issue which could cause damage afterwards.

Could also be a bad anti-drain back valve in the oil filter so you can change the filter but it is normal to hear that on the 4.7L.
