from that pic the truck looks lifter, either that or those tires arent 33's considering that with my 31's i dont have that much clearance btwn the front of the front tire and the front bumper

yeah.. those dont look like 33's but then again i can be wrong. I have BF Mud Terrain 33's on the same stock rims as in the pic below now and it as a 2.5 " lift on it with a little wheel well trimming.

But here is a picture of my 2000 D before I put the lift on it with BF A/T 33's on stock rims.

Replace that bumper. In a crash, it is going to do nothing but collapse.

Those look like 33X10.5's and not 33X12.5's!

It might be possible to stick a 33X10.5 on the truck IF:

You have good springs on the rear (non sagged) and the OEM height on the front Torsion bars. This is really hard to achive because of the age of our trucks and the way shops screw around with the settings.

Now you COULD have 33X10.5's on a OEM Durango but only if it meets at least this ^ but regardless if you flex or turn out and flex you can take off your fender! For me it's not worth the price to clean it up!!!!! The second thing is you are going to rub on the inside frame.

This thread has been dealing with the use of 33X12.5 tire use THAT CAN'T BE USED on a OEM Durango without modification.

I see an issue with false information here as people aren't staying on topic buy way of not compairing apples to apples. One user states "I have no problem" but this person isn't using what we are talking about and it's taking the subject out of text. The problem is if you veer off the main subject you need to leave all information so people can follow you and not just go out and try to get something that won't work for their rig!

I think I am going to combat this problem a different way by opening up 2 different threads. One on 33X10.5 and one on 33X12.5 to separate the issue into the correct category.

i agree, and the only way those conditions are going to be met (im adding one that the tortion bars have not settled either which will happen over time) on trucks this old is if they have been stored with the wheels off the ground(as in ON JACK STANDS) for the better part of their life, otherwise the weight of the vehicle, and suspension cycles that it endures during normal driving will cause it to settle too much. the bigger tires will most likely still fit ON THE REAR AXLE ONLY, but not on the front as any turn of the wheel will cause rub or damage of some other sort, hell my 31's almost hit the fender lining
