Fitzall 220 AMP Alternator Install?
I'm sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I am wondering how do you install a universal alternator. I recently bought a Powerbastards.com Fitzall 220 AMP alternator. It has its own built in regulator, so how do I connect this to the car? Will the PCM throw out error codes when it is no longer connected to alternator?
The three connections that the new alternator has is a light wire (I guess to make the warning light come on), a ignition wire, and a sensing wire that connects to constant 12V+. Maybe I do not need any of them?

Oh wow, forgot all about this thread. i drive a 2003 Dodge Durango SLT. Has the 4.7L Magnum v8. After researching, i found out that it was to much hassle to try to replace the alternator. Instead what I am doing is adding the alternator as a second one and running a dedicated line from the second alternator to the audio and pc equipment. It will save alot of headaches running them seperate.

Got my 200 amp from here; http://www.motorcityreman.com/ works perfectly. Very good company, I also have one for the car and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

i would expect that running a second alternator would be harder than replacing yours as you need custom mounts and a new belt and new belt routing and a whole extra set of wires, and probably another battery so that the alternator is never running without some load on the system
You will need to install a second battery and run the system off of that as well with the mountings and load on the engine. To ensure draw form the battery on the secondary system I would install a diode between the two batteries and hook them up together.
