Default Tire Suggestion

I'm trying to find a good tire that I can use off road as well as have good snow and ice traction on the road. Any suggestions?

I noticed that Goodyear and BF Goodrich both have a new tire out that looks like it would be good. But, I like to get suggestions and opinions about things before I buy.

Goodyear Wrangler silent armor A/T. I know a couple people with these and they are very satisfied. They said this is the best tire they have ever purchased. Nice smooth ride and it has plenty of traction if you need it.

Goodyears are nice tires, you just have to replace them way to often. The Michelin's will extend your life to two or three times that of the GYs. When you factor the dollar economics into the equation, you can save well over $1000 by making the right brand decision.

With that said, regardless of brand, you have 2 votes back to back for A/Ts. That's what you are looking for on any tire brand you choose for the needs you described. A/Ts

Firestone Destination AT. I got them just before winter last year and they did great in the snow and ice.

really indy? show me a set of tires that last 100k-150k and ill buy them for the rest of my life,

the goodyears that came on my dads 03 dakota went to 55k before they got replaced, they prob had another 5k or so left in them but winter was coming and he got worried about them

i have a set (ive been told they are made by bridgestone) of tires they say "widetrack peerless baja" on the side in white letters, nice deep tread and they seem to be wearing good, tho i only got them in may so no comment on how they handle snow yet

BFG's are great tires. BFG's are now owned by Michelin. I have been a loyal BFG user since the 80's. The All Terrains have great tread life. I got an average of 60k-70k miles on those AT's and that's with playing offroad and burning rubber now and then on my toyota truck.

I got over 50k miles on my CompTA's on my R/T. Since they don't make them anymore, the Longtrail Touring T/A's are the only ones available for my R/T. It's more highway than offroad,

anyone running the bridgestone Revo 2's. The original revo's seem to have a good rating on Tire Rack. I also looked at the BFG KM's that are out and the GY Duramax, I think it was. The Revo's seem to be rated better then the BFG AT/KO's.
