What should idle speed be?
What is the stock idle speed on a 2001 durango, 5.9L? I do not see it in my haynes manual, owners manual, or on the underhood labels. New Durango owner here, thanks.

my ram is about 1000 cold, 600 warm.
assuming no other problems - idle speed is controlled by Idle Air Control (IAC), a tempermental little control valve on the back of the throttle body.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure it wasnt too low, mine idles a bit over 500, almost feels like a tiny bit of cam lope.
