o boy, you really want to get me in trouble huh? ehh wtf here ya go

ok im not sure exactly when this was, but i know it was winter of my senior year of HS(i graduated june of 08) and while i was at school it started snowing (always makes for a fun last part of the day) so by the time school gets out everything is cancelled (practice and all other events at the school that night) the busses are on what they called "snow routes" (our town is hilly and small roads which are not fun to navigate in the snow), so i had study hall second to last period, so i went out and cleaned most of the snow off the truck then went back in, by the time i got out of class to leave the driving lanes around the lot had been plowed and everyone who made it out before me were stuck on the birms of snow left by the plow, so i (in my infinite wisdom) get in, start 'er up and put it in 4wd and hit the gas, i realize at this point that the back end is going to slid around easily if i hit the gas too hard. At this point the main roads had been plowed recently (i assume for the busses) so i drop it out of 4wd and head home, of course avoiding all the dumbasses who couldnt drive in a little bit of snow. I get about half way home and there is a backwards right hand turn, and of course it LOOKS fine, but half way through the intersection i realize its all ice and the back end stars sliding around on me, i end up almost perpendicular to the road with a cop coming down the road (i guess he hadnt hit the ice yet cause he stopped pretty damn quick). so i put it back in 4wd and straighten it out (im going with the theory that the front wheels still had traction) and keep heading home, and i notice that the cop had his flashers on as i went past him, and i see him turning around, at this point i realize that hes coming after me!!!! so i keep going, pushing a little faster than i probably should have, but i know where i can lose him, i head up the biggest hill btwn there and home (it was a back road and had NOT been plowed yet) i make it to the top and circle back around, as i go back past the road i went up to get away i see the cop stuck, not quite sideways across the road, consider offering to pull him down, decided against it and continued on home, after this i would go through a section which was barely 2 cars wide in the summer, and someone in front of me had gone off the cliff instead of making the turn, but he wasnt there so no pulling him out after that my ride home was uneventful, hopefully i didnt let you guys down too badly

and btw plz excuse my spelling and grammer, im in school to be an ENGINEER, we tend to lack spelling skillz <- lol

AHAHAHAHA!!! It would have been great if you did offer to pull him down! What's he gonna say? You ran but came back to save his butt? I saw only one thing that was kinda wrong. You could have stopped when you saw this lights. I assume he thought you were doing a powerslide around the corner. And he didn't realise there was black ice at that very spot you slid out. Lucky he didn't get your plate #.

The dumb *** didn't get you plate and thats the good thing! Thing is he would have givin you a ticket for traveling to fast for existing conditions or loosing control of your vehicle.

I live where it snows heavy. I drove through that part of the country and seen those "emergency snow routes"! I laughed my *** off when I saw those! Over here last year I was trail bustin through snow drifts half way up my windshield......That was kinda fun!

I don't know if I should tell my story tho!.....It could land me in the pen!

yes you should share your story hydra

a couple reasons i didnt stop, 1) my plate was covered by snow, so no worry about him having the plate (i dont clean it off intentionally )
2) it was snowing and he had NO WAY of getting identifying information off the truck
and when i cam back 2 reasons i didnt offer to help him
1) my tow strap was buried under a giant pile of **** in the back at the time and
2) it was the biggest dick on the police force so i figured he could use a little suffering for all the **** he pulls

and the intersection i slid through was slanted weirdly (if you go straight on the road you are on a grad from right to left) which i blame on my sliding, and i came to a complete stop before going into the intersection i was doing maybe 5-10 mph as i went past him so any slower and id have been going backwards ill clarify the situation as people ask questions or point stuff out to me in case i forgot anything else relevant

Shrp: Well see? There were extrenuating circumstances! I totally agree with you then! Yes the second reason #2 is more than enough to justify you not stopping! LOL!
Hydra: Just make up an alias and tell the story then erase all info about said alias.

Then they still would have givin you a ticket for loss of control, trust me.

Anyway, it doesn't matter IF your tow strap was in a heap of **** or it could have been sittin there in your lap warm and ready to go, you still wouldn't have pulled him out cause you ran and he would have nailed you anyways.......

Besides, he has a radio and cell and the tow fee doesn't come out of his pocket anyway. I'da left him there and unrolled my window laughing and pointing as I drove by.

I'll talk about mine when I have a lil more time but we should be doing this in OT. Then again, I guess if we are going to talk about it then it shoudn't be where everyone is going to look.

Ok,

I knew this guy who had a truck and it was parallel parked on a main street in a town called living-well-son. Well in this town there are events that happen every year that gets the town to basically empty into these areas because it is smaller town.

Anyway, I knew this guy who decided to leave early while everyone was at the event. He jumped into his VERY modified truck and backed up to gain enough room in the front so he could pull out. There was approximately 1 1/2 ' before making contact with the front bumper of the car behind him. Because he turned the wheel to the right while reversing the drivers side of the truck was closest to the drivers side of the car behind him. With LOSTS of room in front of him and an extreme lead foot he decited to light the tires up as he pulled out. Well instead of putting it in 1st he forgot and left it in reverse. (Can you see what might have happend?)

Well I'm talking about a truck that at 35 mph could lift the front end off the ground and at 55mph drop into 2nd and slide it sideways burning both the tires! I am not talking about your momma's truck here!

Back to the story, I was watching while this unknown person, that is about 5 foot tall with white hair, and long white beard, in a red coat with white fur cuffs (uhhhh) and very over weight, (oh yeah) and he a red nose....... backed (well bolted) into the cars front end at about 1/2 throttle......LMAO!

Well the engine ended up half way into the passenger seat and the front clip looks as if it was now the dash board! As you can imagine, the car was completely totaled!!!!! As I looked on in complete udder horror (sigh) at what he had done I noticed that there were large police lights on the top of the car. I had seen this new (uhhhh) State police car and it was was only a few months old!

I watched as this (uhhhh) person put it back in first and roast out of the situation! There was a HUGE steal bumper on the back of this truck that didn't even scratch!............Nobody saw any license plates or anything not even myself or else I would have turned the SOB it dammit!

Well, thats the story of what I OBSERVED happen.....ROTFLMFAO!

lol i dont doubt that they would have, my friend got one for that in the same storm at a very similarly set up intersection, and to be honest, i dont think he would have given me a ticket if i stopped to pull him out, there are 2 other trucks in green (the other one is a 98 or 99 in the darker green, but in low light they look the same color) in my town and its hard to describe but i would have come up the hill to pull him down, not come down the hill from where he saw me go, who knows what would have happened, i should really see if i still have that tow strap around with winter coming up . . .
