Default PCM Install?

Hey Gang,

Just got my new rebuilt PCM in the mail. Anything special I should do or know before the swap. Should I disconnect the battery first?

Thanks,

Trent

yes you MUST disconnect the battry and drain the electrical system before installing the PCM in order to avoid any chance of sparks, surges, shorts ect. (drain the elec system = disconnect battery hold key to start for 15-30 seconds) also make sure you dont have any electrical shorts and that whatever damaged the old PCM is fixed before you put the new one in or you could damage the new one too

ALWAYS disconnect the battery when doing ANY electrical work... especially PCM work.
