I have noticed even less vacuum with my 52mm bored TB and intake.

Anyway, I think the A/C is still on but the selection goes to the floor vents because of WOT and loss of vacuum like the others are saying. Still, look for a vacuum leak in the hoses just to be sure there is no leak.

when you are wot check to see if the cold air is blowing out of the defrosters. it should be because when you hit wot vacuum is next to nothing and the blend door is designed to switch to defrost if there is no vacuum. this is a safety feature so that if you lose vacuum to the heater box you will still have defrosters.

Could also be a cracked vacuum reservoir. The vacuum reservoir is located under the plastic cowl plenum cover at lower base of windshield.
