Default Airbag light

My wife just called me and told me when see turns left the airbag comes on. I told her not to turn left, jk. It's a 99 durango. Has anyone else had this problem? What do I need to look for 1st?

It's probably the clock spring, which is a type of electrical connector located under the airbag. It's a straightforward repair, but probably best to have the dealer take care of that one just to make sure everything is done correctly.

yup sounds like the clock spring, and not something i would attempt if just for the fact that i wouldnt want to pull the airbag out and f-something up, at least if the dealer does it they are on the financial hook to make it right . . .

I have read this might be a recall problem. Does anyone know about this? I've owned this vehicle since new.

never heard of it being a recall issue, but you can check all the recalls on your truck here

http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/

it will also tell you what recalls have already been performed on the truck

With the air bag light on the system is disabled so the air bags won't fire in an accident so get that thing into the dealer fast.
