i have a 2002 durango and i have the small sport type side mirrors and from the info i have come up with they didnt have the bigger folding ones that are on my moms 99 durango for 01 to 03 is there any way to make the bigger ones work on my 02 i have powered ones so i think i might just be wiring. they look like they have the same bolt patern and will fit. can someone help me i hate the smaller ones i cant see my boat or ice house they suck.

 

where ever you got your information from is wrong, my 2002 SLT+ came with the large 6x9 folding, power, heated tow mirrors from the factory, the styling changed from the 98-00 models, but they do exist, and yes the mounting brakets are the same, the worst you would have to do is make your own wiring harness

 

I recently replaced mine with the folding dumbo ears. The wiring harness on the dumbos are bigger and wiring colors were off. But I managed to rewire the harness by cutting off the old harness and soldering the like-colored wires together. I don't recall the colors ofhand but if you can take a pic of the wires, I can tell you how they should be wired. Yes, I have the power mirrors too, and they work! LOL!

 

buying the dumbo mirror new or used can be expensive.. I would only do this if i were getting them from a scrap yard... if you were getting them from a scrap yard i would try to salvage as much of the wiring as possible.. The plastic connectors and possibly the wiring all the way to the switch on the dash..

 

Neglected to mention I got the dumbos from a member of another D site. Bought and shipped for $50.00. They came with the whole harness, even the nuts and neoprene gasket!
