Homemade CD's in Stereo?
how old is the home stereo? and when you put the cd in the computer drive and the autorun box comesup, what kind of files does it tell you that it sees?im really stumped by this, i want to see it work just based on principle now lol
mine does without any problem indy, and so did my friends old jeep (had the same headunit your truck does, the square one with the cd player and tape deck in it) as long as they were burned as audio cds, never heard of a stock deck not playing those
I know the 2000 Infinity stocker does NOT play recordables. Thus, safe to say the previous years do not either. I'll admit I thought later years may have the support however the poster says in his sig his D is an '03 so dunno. Perhaps with the interior upgrade in 2001 and the bus change on the radio connections, it was added. They why his specifically doesn't work? Dunno again. There are CD-R, CD+R, CD-RW, etc... I am certain not everyone format is supported thus he may have one of them at play here. With yours being a 2002, that shows some of the Ds did run some of the CD recordable formats.

I have an '01 with the stock deck and mine will play some burned discs but not others. IIRC they were different brands of discs, neither was RW, but burned on the same 'puter. Maybe try a different brand of disc?
hmm thats a good point indy, for music i always use cd-r as once you put music on a disc you can erase it anyway, the the rws might not work in the car player, tho keep in mind indy, that mine is an 02 and it works just fine with burned discs so i would expect the newer models to work fine too
