haha i wish it was all flat, its all up/down hills, but its not that hard to get decent gas mileage out of these beasts (well decent is relative) just keep your foot out of it, and let it coast whenever you are going downhill dont slow down much for corners, i dont use the AC much in the summer just roll the windows down, keep the tires aired up to 35-37psi, i check it every time i stop for gas, keep new spark plugs in it (no more then maybe 20k on a set of plugs, yes unnecessary, but its my truck and my money) dont let it idle if you are waiting for someone for more than a minute SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, take the route with the fewest traffic lights, use the cruise control on any extended runs where it will catch, stay away from E-10 (yes this is getting more difficult to do lately, but where you can avoid buying gas from stations with the 10% ethanol labels on their pumps, which is required by law at least in my state) and use the brakes as sparingly as possible, i keep od off whenever i am just driving "around town" (anything that doesnt get me over 40mph)

its not supposed to, but when i let off the gas with it on it does shift into OD while im coasting, and then when i need to step on it i have to wait for drive to catch, i also like the way it shifts better (even if indy shows up to yell at me for it)

I get 10-14 with 12 avg. Everything on my ride has been tweaked and running in perfect harmony. I guess the 5.9's are just too damn thirsty!

I just replaced my rear 02 but did not have a chance to drive it due to cold weather and no heat in the truck. Hopefully this 02 sensor will help resolve the issue. front sensor change out a couple months back.

It may be the engine just getting broken in at 92k miles. I would love to just see this 5.9 get the rated 12/17 that is on sticker window!

Would be nice to get good mileage but even if we did I couldn't help my lead foot!
