Default 4x4 question

i was wondering if anyone knows of or has got rid of the vaccum act. for the 4 wheel drive and did another set up that was better.

Yes. On the early 4x4, the vacuum line was routed behined the intake manifold and next to the exhaust manifold and melt the vacuum harness,causing no vacuum at the transfer case or the front axle assy.

The vacuum actuators are not on the Durango?

2000-2003 are electrical. 1998-1999 are manual.

You are right hydrashocker. But thought it was a general question. The vacuum actuators were on the Ram trucks with 4x4. The manual set up was the best. To many problems can happen with the electric 4x4 set up.

I'll always take manual over anything electronic.

+2 i wish i had a manual t-case but so far no problems with the electronic one
