i'm not a durango expert but on all the brakes i've work on i've unbolted the 2 pins/bolts, removed clips if present, removed pads, and then just pull the caliper off. sometimes the caliper is in sort of a cradle and a good smack with a rubber hammer gets it to move.

once removed, wire it up to something and don't let it hang by the hose.

Try using a BFH??? J/K! IIRC, I did what you did and then gave it a good whack with my hands and it came right off. Could be a little bit of rust and/or road grime keepingit in place.

Try brake cleaner in the caliper housing, as you are pulling the caliper. Also a big screwdriver and prying from the bottom should help to slide the caliper back. There is only the two bolts, and the bushing pin, IIRC the bushing pin has to be flush, use a scribe and CAREFULLY slide the bushing dust boots over the lip that gives the bushing more freedom of movement. The combination of these tips should get you a good start.

REMEMBER HOLD THE CALIPER TO MAKE SURE THE BRAKE LINE DOES NOT BREAK!!!!

ha thanks guys. i got it though. I had to compress the piston with a c-clamp before removing the caliper. theres this W shaped piece of metal thats under-tension which holds the caliper on as well. once the piston got compressed it popped out .
