Default Just replaced the oxygen sensor...

Hi all,

I have a 2001 Durango SLT 4.7. I just replaced the upstream O2 sensor, cleared the codes and sea foamed the intake. Ran fine yesterday with no CEL's, but today it threw a new code : p0135

Any ideas? Thanks!

P0135 1/1 O2S Heater Failure

did you connect the o2 sensor correctly?

try reconnecting it. could be a bad o2 sensor?

I crawled under and reseated the connectors. Hoping its not a bad o2, its in a tight spot.

Also ck the power steering switch if you have one, If the switch is leaking it will leak p/s fluid into the o2 sensors and the pcm too.

Ok, I checked the power steering pump, no leak. I checked the o2 connectors again, and reset the PCM all was fine until today where it threw the same code again.

What kind of O2 sensor did you use??? My self I have some new mopar units sitting in a box waiting. I have heard non-oem replacments may cause issues.

How many miles on your D.

The dealer O2 sensors are better than aftermarket and the aftermarket can trip CEL's over and over.
