Time To Part Ways!!!!!
The long road has finally wound it's way to the end of my baby's reign. It's time to part my way from one of my true love as I have finally out grown out and in need of an upgrade.
I have decided to sell my Durango and I need to move up in power and durability........
I have picked myself up a 1999 Ram Quad Cab, Short Bed, 4X4, V-10, 47RE trans, 241 Transfer Case, Dana 60 front (open) and Dana 70 (LS) rear, 4" lift, and 285-75-16 rubbers. The truck has 134k on the clock but in perfect condition. After my Yellow Stone run and a few hi Uinta Mountain runs my trailer is just too much and I find myself not going on trips that I would like to go on. In small, "I just need more power and towing capabilities".
I want to let everyone know the D has hopefully found a new home with a very good friend but $$$$ still hasn't found it's way into my hand so my D is still for sale. I don't have the room to keep my D as I always thought I would, it's time to move forward.
Here is some pic's!

It needs a lil spicing up but all in all she was a great deal. I had to put in a lil money off the get go (as usual with an older truck) but the thing is in perfect running condition.
Hydra. You will be missed, but dont consider yourself dismissed. Although your D is to another home, you are still considered a highly respected source of info. I think that by the PM's and email should prove that.
You do have a nice RAM, but check in every so often and consider yourself a highly respected member, and friend.
Good luck and are you going to try to keep the same screen name on the RAM forum?
BTW. THis was a post on the DOC forum, reference the evap canister hose leak from a couple of years ago. To this day I give you the credit for helping, so take this as a compliment and your technical advise is recognized.
Read to bottom you are the second paragraph.
The Evap Canister is along the drivers side frame rail, inboard, about midway between the driver and left passenger seats. There's two hoses at the front of the canister that should be checked for tears, dry rot, etc.
NOTE, it's a flared fitting hose tapered from 7/16th on one side to 3/8 on the other. I just got two small pieces of each (about 1 foot is more than enough) which were easier to cut and reattach. I also got a universal coupler and used hose clamps.
This info is for a 4.7 but I'd think the canister would be in same location for 5.9. If not, then I apologize, but doesn't hurt to check this and see how it goes.

Now you can crawl on over to the darker side with a few of us others and leave that thurr fancy comfort thing them yankee's call pavement.
I'm not going anywhere as far as the forum is concerned, although I am a Site Moderator so I go throughout the forum here at the DF normally. I will still hang out here of course as this is the place where most of my close friends are no to mention I am in charge over here until schusterjo makes his way back as Durango 1st Generation section Moderator. My screen name will stay as that is my handle in many places not only here.
Just cause I own a Ram now doesn't mean I hate the Durango. The Durango is and will remain one of my most favorite vehicles. I will be getting a few parts off it for sale if people are intrested and I will post in Parts Sales and I will also post in here linking the 2 together.
