well, i pulled it apart assuming it had a bent valve. i was wrong again. it dropped a valve guide and held the valve open. it was not a huge deal. i had auto tire and parts ( napa ) machine shop put in a new guide for me. it took them about a hour to do and they only charged me $43. so it wasnt that bad. from start to finish i did the job in about 12 hours and that is including going 35 miles away to have the head fixed. the worst part of the whole job was the injectors, i had to r&r 6 times before i had no feul leaks, it sucked.

now it is back to running good. thanks for all of your advice.
