Hydra,

Mine was $700 plus $200 for the antenna and $17.00/mo for the xm/traffic/wx
I already prepaid for the XM so it is only $4.00 for about eight months remaining in my subscription.

Also, the $700 includes the GARMIN NAV system, if you just want the basic stereo I have seen them for as low as $250 used, probably about $400-500 new. I have the XM but you can also get the Sirrius interface adapter.

Google KENWOOD KVT 514 on e-bay or Amazon

Pretty easy to install, at least the basic stereo is, and loooks good.

As for the photos you are correct sir, I tried different camera settings so some came out better than others.

add ons include I-pod, back up camera, amp, sub woofer, XM/Sirrius and a secondary video source like another dvd monitor in the rear.

Sounds like a nice system. I was just looking into a Garmin GPS system and would like a touch screen. I don't need anything off the way but just a basic version. I already have a Garmin GPSMAP® 76CSx for the trail.

thats one of the handheld units right hydra? how do you like, does it hook up to the computer? how big is it in reality (compared to say a cell phone or deck of cards)? how long does the battery last, and what are you overall thoughts on it, worth the money?

Ya it's a hand held for hiking or on the trail/road.

I really like it for hunting and fishing, however using it for the bike would be FUN!

It hooks directly into the computer and you can even get free map software at http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/ and map out your territories.

Measurements are exactly 6 3/8" Long X 2 3/4" Wide X 1 1/4 Thick. It's like 2 or three decks of cards. When I go hunting I take it in my hip pack and start logging as I go. I even got one down in a real bear of country and placed a waypoint directly across the canyon from me where it should be then hiked over to it and got my animal. It sure is a sweet one and it's still top-of-the-line and been there for about 3-4 years (as long as I've had it). I got it on Ebay for about $330 or so a few years ago, besides Gamin is rated #1 I still think.

Great investment if you are on the trails hands down and I think it is still the only GPS that is waterproof. There are other versions of course and they are a must for people in the back country.....IMHO
