his has 3.73's, the engine is out of a 99 truck, it is definatly the lower rating. the origonal never had the oil changed, he bought it blown up and we put a motor in it, has the smaller heads, smaller intake and all. anyway you look at it i dont think i should have lost to it......... lot bigger, alot heavier, not much more power to warrent a victory. but its a mute point, it wont happen again...hahahaha

My Excursion is strong but I don't think I can keep up with my Durango now that I have 4.56:1 gears in it.

lmao, i bet it pulls hard with that much gear in it, got 4.30's in my charger and that is pretty stout. 4wd launches with 56's would be sure to make your neck hurt

Quote: 425 lb ft. hehehe

Ask me how I know. (Although, 8,000 lbs is a lot to get motivated.)
That's ok, I'll stick with my 8.0L (V10 488cdi) with it's 300hp and 450lbs torque.

You'd be surprised how equally matched both of our trucks are both in pulling power and mpg.

I was wondering, what is a good spark plug to use for the 4.7L engines? and also what is a good fuel system cleaner to clean out the injectors and everything else? I didn't know if there was a brand that people on here liked the best for these engines.
