Even kept the front driveshaft for now.
Hope to get it back soon & drive in on 34.5s
Only 34.5s as reindexed keys wouldn't go on so no 36.5s which is a shame & relief for reliability's sake
Will then see if need a new front driveshaft.

Got my Durango this weekend & put 100 miles on it.

Kept the original front driveshaft & it feels fine

Shocks are adjustable RS9000s on middle setting for now.

Tried doing it to a budget by keeping the original rims but they didn't fit anymore as the kit pulled the hubs in so the rear of the rim actually hit the knuckles.
So had to get a new set of rims with an an additional 0.75" offset and now the 34.5s clear nicely
And thats the problem..... with another 0.5" offset and some minor fender trimming on the inner fenders/foot wells 37s (realistically 36.5s) will clear nicely but the shop had already ordered the tyres ages ago.
The 4.56s handle the tyres easily

I'm going to drive it around for a month or so to see how it is then it will go back in the shop for some new rims (18" or 20"s) and the 36.5s
There will be cutting... Even if I have to notch the frame I want those 36.5s (37/12.50/15) as I think my gentle driving style won't stress out the components.

This is just a street truck which I might use to trailer my little Suzuki 4x4s if I don't get a 2500 Ram

FYI I'm running 315/70/17 Nitto Dune Grapplers cos I like the flame tread & the rounded side walls give a little more clearance on full turn.

It amazing how a well aligned truck handles. rides better than when I got it stock.

just wondering (this may sound stupid) but if you are only using the durango as a street truck, then why waste all the money to lift it and FORCE 36" tires to fit??? the reason to put bigger tires on a truck/suv/4x4 is for more ground clearance and increased off-road performance. A truck/suv is designed by the factory for optimal towing/handling capabilities lifting it puts more stress on the suspension (will probably lower the tounge weight capacity) and will throw off the handling by raising the center of gravity, if you would like i can draw out a diagram with the forces marked and labeled to explain better

I did it because I'm an excentric brit who came over here to 4 wheel and wanted a big Yank tank except I didn't realise thet the money I'd sink into this think so far I could have bought a nice 2500 Ram, which I still want to get as a tow rig.
I've always liked the Durango but didn't realise it would be so complex to lift. I just wanted something cheap and cheerful.
