Ok, so new problem with the D. I saw a bit of steam coming from the vents in the cab and it smells real nice when you turn on the air...but not really...smells like good ol coolant. I found a shop that said they could replace the heater core for around 600 and I told them about the A/C as well and they said they could check to see if the evap core was out as well. Seems like a good shop, a lot of old guys who know their way around cars. So maybe I can kill two birds with one stone when I get back from spring break. Then I would only be pulling the dash once instead of twice. But I will be waiting a week or more to do this so I guess I just need to keep an eye on the coolant level and hope I don't need the air too much. lol

A pull of the dash, evap/core/blower fan will be $600 in parts and about $600 in labor at an independent shop. Well over $2500+ at the stealer.

Here is my thread on it: Heater core, blower motor and evap replaced

Do you suggest getting the blower replaced as well even if it seems ok, so as not to have to deal with it in a few years. I will be getting the evap core and the heater core done so should this just be done so I don't have to worry about it later?
