I'm considering painting my wheels black on my D. Anyone got any advice as far as specific types of paint or anything else? I'm not an expert painter by any means so no piece of advice is bad advice.

 

I would scuff the wheels up with 320 grit sandpaper so that the paint will adhere. Clean with acetone. Put a few light coats of primer before putting three or more coats of the actual color on the wheel:

check out my truck i actually used, some 320 grit sanded them down real nice, cleaned them off, primed them with metal primer then did 3 coats of black for metal and they hold up great!

 

How long did it take you to sand each tire would you say?
