Default 9007 Bi-Xenon HID high beams dont work on 01 durango

I recently purchased a set of 9007 bi-xenon hid kit and installed them on my 01 durango. The problem is that only my low beams work. When i switch it to high beam it does nothing. The light doesnt move or flicker just stays the same. I returned the first set thinking they were defective but the the next set i got did the same thing. Can anyone please help me?

Mine are intermittent, it doesn't bother me since I have hid fogs as well. I would never use the highs anyway, the hids are 6000k and I have 100w lights on my brush bar. If you want to check the operation of the lights, switch on the highs before you turn on the lights. The highs should light, then switch to the lows and you'll see the change. My highs take awhile to come on after the lights have been on low for a period of time. It's like having a time delay on the lights.

Not quite.

Depending on the setup, loss of the high beams is a side effect of cheapo product. That is why it happened on both sets. That is what it does. There is no high beam in that setup. If you want them both... buy up.

I bought a set of HIDs from ebay and they've been great. I didn't know they came with halogen h5 bulbs for HIs. I gotta tell you, the 6000k light is way brighter than the HIs. LOL. I wouldn't worry about you not having any HIs. You'll never miss them with the HIDs.

Smile Concerning your issue.

Since you purchase a 9007 HID, the issue you are having is that you will find that your high beam will not work. What you have to do is switch the white and brown wire on the connector and leave the blue one intact. Some manufacturers use a 9004 socket along with a 9007 bulb. Hope this helps.
