Default Blower motor resistor fail

That time again, but hey I got 18 months out of this one. That is pretty good I guess.

Blower Motor Resistor FAIL.....Hard fail this time. Harness fail actually, The power and high speed wiring melted to the resistor. I need new harness, again!!! Might have to suck it up with dealer this time, but trying one more salvage yard tomorrow. I found resistor for $12.02 out the door, at local dealership..Yes in stock and pretty good price.

No photos but this fail sounds pretty self explanatory. Melted contacts on the harness connector side....causing residual scorching of the resistor side.

I got the new resistor but I will hold off until the harness is replaced, no sense in burning up another resistor pack.

Time to get it taken care off now, before it gets too hot. If any of you have this problem, it is not anything to take lightly. This fan controls the A/C AND Defroster/windshield heat.
