Use motorcycle chain wax for the lube.

Just to add in under suspension squeaks & because I'm bored. on mine the nylon bushings in the rear leaf packs are toast. sounded like I was driving an old farm truck. took a bottle of oil & lubed the contact points @ the end of each leaf as a fix till I can get around to replacing the pucks.

I,m also curious as to what if any ride height difference with new ones in there. looks like they used to take up some space.

Default Right on the money!

Thanks for the advice guys, you were exactly right. I had a local car shop replace the sway bar bushings and now it is whisper quiet.
One other thing, I also had them swap-out the front rotors and pads. When driving it there is a noticable smell and I saw a fairly large amount of smoke coming from the right front pad area. Is this normal (I don't remember new brakes ever smoking before.)

umm no, it sounds to me like you have a break dragging, could be as simple as you forgot to grease the tracks that the brakes slide on, or the system could need to be bled, or it could need new rubber hoses on front brakes (do both sides if you decide to try that route)(that is what did it on mine this past fall)

It's absolutely amazing how noisy those bushings can get. Mine absolutely drove me crazy, borderline embarassing, before I figured out what the problem was (at least I got new shocks out of it, but an almost unnecessary expense). Anyway, took the grease gun to all the possible places to lube, and noise go bye-bye!

i got a 2000 durango R/T and just sprayed WD-40 on the sway bar bushings to stop the squeaking.

Technically, WD-40 is a cleaner not a lubricant. Go to a RV/Trailer store and get some Teflon grease for hitches and use it. It resists dirt and debris.

i HATE wd-40 just for the fact that everybody seems to think that it is a lubricant when it is actually a cleaner/degreaser, if it is used properly and followed by a good lubricant (after the wd 40 is cleaned off) it is ok to use, otherwise STAY AWAY!!!!!
