Default Chrome Grill on 98 D

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ALL-C...Q5fAccessories

I wish I could post the pic directly on here to make it easier but it won't let me. Does anyone know anything about these or have an opinion on this item? It's right around $37 for something that's all chrome that seems to be a little low but I guess it could be a deal. I guess my question is whether or not this is something that should be professionally installed or something that is doable myself.

IMO it is just the factory 'Chrome' grill, which is not really chrome at all, its just plastic with a shiney chrome-like finish, i got it on my truck and its chipping already (i got about 90k on my 01) if you need to have the chrome look go for it, you shouldnt have any problem installing it if you have some mechanical ability

Yea my bad hydra I did try that but it wasn't cooperating at the time. I do want the chrome grill at some point but I don't want it if it's jsut a chrome plated one... that in essence is false advertising if you ask me. I'm going to email the guy and ask him if it's just chrome plating. I guess I was an idiot for thinkin that I could actually get a chrome grill for under $100.

It is worse than you think. It is cheaply chrome plated plastic.

The up side is if it goes bad, buy another one. They are cheap enough to be disposable.

Someone had said that they think this is just an OEM replacement, that's just chrome plated and not fully chrome but I contacted the buyer of this item and he said "All Chrome 100%" When I asked him that specific question of whether or not it was jsut an OEM Chrome plated one.
