Default Intake Question for the 4.7

Just a quick question about this home made intake. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...r-4-7l-v8.html

Would I be better off going with that route, or just dropping in a k&n filter to the stock air box? I currently have no other mods and I'm thinking of doing exhaust soon. The reason I ask is because although I love the look of the intake, I don't know if it would do anything but just allow more hot air into the engine. Any help is appreciated!

If anything drop in a K&N factory drop in filter!

Sure the look of the expensive cone systems look great but do nothing for true COLD AIR. The only way to get COLD AIR is to pipe it in. But anything is better than OEM.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I just wasn't sure if coning it would help or hurt performance because it would just be sucking in more hot air. Thanks!
