Default Front Axle removal

2003 Durango 4x4 4.7
I have a right front axle housing seal leak and I just can't get the axle out of the housing, so I can replace the seal. Did I miss something, the book said to pry it out from the housing.

it is held in by a snap ring. pry on opposit sides at the same time & have a buddy give it a whack with a mallet. the jolt under pressure should pop it.

I was using to 30"pry bars and it would pop it, but I'll try getting someone to smack it at the same time, thanks

Any recommended (or non-recommended) suppliers for front axle? 2000 RT (with AWD), outer boot torn and starting to make noise on turns.

Thanks.

Gus:

Give Auto Zone a try. I believe you can get one there with lifetime warranty for ~$80-$90 and returning your old one as a core.
