Default fuel filters

is there a specified service interval on our fuel filter? i understand it is in the tank and part of the pump?

No.

Unless you have a problem, it will last a lifetime.

Run good fuel and cleaners every once in a while.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a photo of what the fuel filter looks like? I've always wondered as it is something we really done see, unless the tank is dropped I imagine.

One flat packet sized bottom feed and one half circle on the inside similar to a k&n filter

Oh wow. So that is what it looks like. It's not what I thought it would look like. Where do you access it from inside the vehicle? It sounds similar to removing the fuel pump in my other car from the back seat.

Your welcome. You have no access to the pump/tank via interior. My panel was a last minute (need a quick repair) type of gray area. My rear interior is removed for tool storage/off road, and i have a 3" lift so cutting into the floor was not an issue. Its something i would not suggest anyone try as the floor area is near a vital support for the rear bench and also involves cutting a couple inches away from the gas tank .

and then there is the fact that duranged is crazy . . .


but the rest of us (sane people) have to drop the tank to get the fuel pump (and filter) out

Now now... Duranged isn crazy, he just thinks differently than others with more restraint.
