Default Power Steering Flush

I have an 01 D w/4.7 4x4. I just replaced the power steering pump. I purchased a reman'd unit from my local parts store, and had a hard time getting the fluid reservoir to seal up correctly. Finally got it all in and now I am wanting to flush the entire system.

What is the procedure for flushing the system?

Any info would be great.

Turkey baster is an option. There is no flush really.

If you just swapped the pump, did you swap the hoses? If not, swap hoses and consider the fluid lost during the swap the flush. IMHO, always swap the hoses with the pump.

turn the wheels fully left and right more than once each time you put new fluid in.

Yes, I replaced both hoses. I just filled it up, jacked up the front end and went lock to lock about 30 times with the engine off. Then drained the system and started over. Now it's nice and clean with no noise!

Thank you all for your input.
