Default Broke the crankshaft position sensor off in the block...

I was in the process of replacing my crank sensor in my 4.7, and all of a sudden, it snapped off. It's about a quarter of an inch deep in the hole. Is there any way to get this out without dropping the oil pan and tapping it from behind?

Shift:

If you have not already, soak the heck out of it with some good pentrating oil. Then, thread in a fairly coarse wood type screw of some type until you get a good firm bite.

Then work/wiggle it back and forth till it comes out. Might take some time, but if you can keep from pulling the oil pan, it will be worth it.
