Okay here goes, I was checking out the Durango for an oil change when I noticed the Coolant was low, like not even at the low on the dipstick.

Now that part kinda confused me, dipstick in the coolant system? Or where you referring to the dipstick for the oil? I know Indy slapped me with this voodoo doll of his and things just aren't the same lately, maybe I need a drink or two or three. Maybe I am reading things here backwards, oh hell, I am so confused that I may as well stay in bed till Monday just so that I will not harm myself!!

there is a 'dipstick' in the coolant overflow tank, it does not reach all the way to the bottom of that tank, but it has little holes in it to show how high the fluid is in that tank

I know the 1998-1999 has a dip stick that after you remove the reservoir cap it is visible. The issue for the dip stick is that the reservoir is black. Now keep in mind that it is not part of the shroud like the 2000-2003.

The only way to see the level is a dip stick.

the overflow reservoir on the 00-03 is a solid black also(not sure if you were implying it wasnt or not), so the dipstick is still necessary
