yea this one was a small gas splitter (only 20 tons )
but we finished around 1800 today (eastern time)
so the finished pics
the pile of split wood, with the truck just closer to the camera than the wood is (the back is about even with the closest edge of the pile)
the other side of the pile, you can see the splitter JUST in on the far right
the pile with the D all hooked up ready to take the splitter back first thing tomorrow morning
for reference, the house is 50 feet long if you take off the 3 windows on the left side of the picture
the pile of wood stands about 5 feet high is about one D length wide, and just under 2 long we have no clue how many chords yet but as soon as we stack it I will be sure to share that number (btw thats about 21 hours or so spent splitting wood over the last 48, but it sure as hell beats splitting it by hand)
