You can come on over to my house when you get done. I have about 6 cords already cut and ready to be split and more than that waiting to be cut first!!

I used to have to to do a semi load of pine every summer. Sometimes even up to 1-3 depending on what I got done. The sh!ty thing was I didn't even get paid, it was part of my summer chores. My dad would sell in in cut, split, and delivered cords. Delivered like stacked at their yards! It was all hand done with no splitter and a chainsaw.

hydra we have been doing it by hand for 5 years now, and with the amount that we have all at once we can pretty safely justify a splitter,

where we are so far, that is since 830 this morning with 2 hours spent last night, just over half way done, ill get some better pictures for you guys tomorrow when we are finished

He didn't want a gas because of the temperature up there get soooo cold up there (like 0 to -40 F and trying to start engines just doesn't happen. Besides he only does a 4-wheeler trailer load at a time so it works perfectly for him. He just runs a power cord out to the shed and leaves it buried in the snow for the winter and the 5-10 minutes of work he's done with no down time.

Now if he were doing a lot of wood at one time things would be different. Mainly, he doesn't have the room to have all of it at one time and it keeps him healthy so he likes doing it that way not to mention gives him something to do. He's 68 and in great health so more power to him.
