Batteries usually die from being old and needing replacement. Check charging system first and replace battery.

Jump starting and running the vehicle for a little while cannot and will not charge the battery. The output of the alternator is more a top off type of charge rather than a charger. If a battery looses a plate it can easily cause issues, just replace it.

replace the battery and it should be fine, if not THEN start looking at other problems, you cannot charge the battery (from dead) off the alternator PERIOD

What they all said, also check to see if you have a steady drain from your battery. Did you install an aftermarket stereo system or some other high drain electronic device(s). That would darin your battery. Also, get a battery tender and plug that into the battery if you leave the D in the garage for long periods of time.
