The forums are not a place to have a pissing contest and see who can pee the farthest, but how we all can come to a solution, whether it be right or wrong in one's eyes.
Fair enough. I got irritated when it seemed like folks were more interested in making a wisecrack than sharing useful info.

Sounds like it was at least partly my fault for misunderstanding who Indy was talking to anyhow. I have now taken my meds and will calm down. :-)

Thanks to those who provided the relevant info -- even though the answer was "no aftermarket part exists to do what you want."

Peace.

Rev I thought this may be an option for you. http://littlepassengerseats.com/
You could purchase a single seat for a different make/model and make a bracket to fit the existing anchor locations.

He has the third row seat already. He wants to know if there is a 60/40 type to replace it with. The site that you have posted is for a solid third row seat which is not what he is looking for. He wants to be able to put a child in part of the 60/40 seat and still be able to fold down the other half, at least that is what I perceive by reading his post.

If you were to look around at Suburban/Yukon Portion there is a 4th row single seat that is a flip up. http://littlepassengerseats.com/chev...n_yukon_xl.htm
He would not have one side available for seating at all then.

You are kinda drifting away from the main topic and that was the OP was looking for a 60/40 seat for a Durango and not a Chevy Suburban. You can look all you want on the net and there is no replacement seat for the 3rd row to make it a 60/40 split. Grabbing at straws and seeing if possibly one from a Suburban might fit would be up to the OP to try it out but it would still involve too much modifications to do. The OP, I believe, wants a seat ready made to install without the hassles of modifying it to fit.

True but it is a good idea to get as much information as possible.

The information that you gave on a Suburban was no where related to a Durango. It is a good idea to get as much info on the vehicle that was posted about and not drift off to another that has nothing to share with a Durango. Just saying.

There just isn't a bolt in version of what your looking for out there. The only way to do this is to get out the chop shop as far as I can tell you.

I realize that it is not related to a durango. In my mind it would be easier to make a bracket to make a seat fit than to cut apart the durango seat that already fits. The D's seat will require sewing and adjusting of the frame.

What's funny is we are arguing with each other and the OP hasn't said much lately.

Also you could look at replacing just the back side of the third row with a second row and see if they would match up with a lil work? Now remember that it most likely would never lay down flat unless you used the OEM seat back and cut like you said. It would be worth really checking into tho.
