Default Wanted: 60/40 third row seat

I have an '02 Durango with the regular 3rd-row bench seat. I've been looking for an aftermarket replacement 3rd row seat that I could raise and lower each side independently. Would really appreciate the info if anyone knows where I could find such an item.

+1. No such thing out there except for the factory setup.

Buy booster seats in different heights.

Hmmmm.... Could a second row be modded to fit in the third row position? That would be awesome cause I can leave mytoddler's booster seat in place and still have cargo space!

Yeah that's what I'm trying to do... use one side of the seat for passengers, but still have some room for cargo. Obviously using "different height booster seats" wouldn't fit the bill.

There are several nice Chevys that have 60/40 third row seats. I didn't really want to swap out the whole vehicle just to change seat configuration, but I need this bad enough that that may be what I wind up doing if I can't do this.

I've always wondered if a second gen third row seat that seats three would fit in the back.

Uhhh no. There is a little thing called a FLOOR PAN that gets in the way.

If it doesn't fit your need, find a different FULL SIZE SUV that does. Nothing in the mid-range or smaller will do so.

There is no solution to fit a square peg in a round hole. With that said, who really requires a full time seating position in the Ds 3rd row? If so, you are already in the wrong vehicle for a full time adult rider to be placed there.

You know indy sometimes I think you take a chill pill. Maybe there is a specific reason for a comment. I do own a larger truck (suburban). I don't exactly have enough dough laying around for another one. The reason I mentioned the expanded third row was because I have 6 kids and a wife. I would just like to have the extra seat available to me in an emergency.
