Default blower motor power wire to resistor keeps frying.

Blower motor not working at any speed, A/C switch comes on but no blower motor.? I changed out resistors and it melts the second connector going to resistor. I found out the prong that gets hot and melts is the (blower motor power wire) from resistor. Both wires from blower motor are getting power. is there another fuse i need to replace, short in the connectors to resistor or blower motor pulling too much power? Not sure, Need help.

try putting a new plug on, sometimes the plugs actually get damaged, and the best solution is to just replace it, you dont have to pull it all the way out, just splice into the wire a few inches before the plug

I agree with Indy! Check the connector, and yes brian it can be the arching.

Could be a bad motor so test it.

yes it could be arcing, i guess it could be a bad motor, but thats a PITA to replace

and im one of 50 (about) lucky people in the United States to have this color on a 2002 model year truck, i got a floor model which was being used to display the new color (yup, im special )

Hydra, stop posting sober...LOL!!!!

Sharp, for the 03 models, I had my blower motor (Yes the motor not the resistor) out and it only took about 5-10 minutes. Unplug, remove the three bolts, and twist. Passengers side floor lay on your back and it should be pretty easy. In my cases, it was the wiring harness that was a PITA to r/r, mostly due to my weak side hand on the wire splcing and crimping. I got it working but I didnt exactly win style points.
