Default alright heres a random one.

okay, now i know its "illegal" to put an older motor in a newer car/truck ie a 72 chevy in a say a 95 chevy, so is it illegal to put say a dodge 318 diesel into a 318 gas durango??? i want to put a diesel in as dumb as it sounds but i like diesels and i dont have the money to go out and get a ram 2500-3500. but hey its worth the try and effort plus it will kind of be one of a kind.

idk if it is 'illegal' but it will probably be alot of work to get it through emissions testing (if you have that)

and it might be cheaper to buy a ram 2500/3500 after all is said and done bc you will need to change out all the drivetrain (engine transmission t-case probably, new driveshafts) and the entire engine bay, all the wires, computer, and probably need custom motor/trans mounts and custom wiring if you plan to keep your exisiting instrument panel, and you will be without a vehicle to drive while you do all of this, it sounds like a great idea, but it will be alot of work
