where are the antifreeze drain plugs on the engine block

Default where are the antifreeze drain plugs on the engine block

Can some one help me find the drain plugs on the engine block for the anti freeze. i have a 2002 4.7L Durango.

There are two sets.


1. On the heads right by the exhaust manifold next to (about 1 inch) each freeze plugs (). They are small square headed plugs.



Next is the block drains. They are on the block both sides and a little bigger freeze plugs with the same square threaded drain plugs. Both look very close to each others just the ones on the block are bigger.



Next thing is this, why do you need to drain the block anyway! If it's just for a radiator or coolant flush just empty the radiator and refill as a partial change. Most of the time they never get removed unless you are rebuilding the motor!

i second hydras statement, a partial change is more than adequate for a DD
