Default california catalytic converter

i just got a 2001 dodge durango 5.9l to swap in my jeep tj .
but it have 4 O2 sensors so my question is did the dodge have 1 or 2 Cat's
i'm doing the swap in CA and The dodge is CA Not Fed
any help would be great thanks

are you sure you got a 5.9 and not a 4.7? the 4.7 came with the 4 O2 sensor setup, but afaik the 5.9 did NOT it only got 2 sensors

Maybe cali regs are more stringent than fed? That's why the two cats?

thats the thing i dont know if its 1 , 2 or 3.
this is what i found at summits

when i called and ask thats $571 per cat. not for the hole thing.
so if CA what Me to have 3 cats i think i will find a new wiring harness that was for a truck i think thay only have the one cat even here in CA but i just want to make sure first

Well look at this,


What PCM are you running with this motor? If you are running a new PCM then just run 1 pre-CAT and 1 Post-CAT. The pre would be right after the "Y" pipe before the CAT and 1 right after the CAT .
