evermind about the splash guard and strip of rubber, i removed the splash guard and wow that should help quite a lot and i would imagine help cool the ac the slightlest bit while moving because the lines are right there...Right? I might run down to home depot and grap some piping for a ram air/cai Thanks for your help though

I would be be careful about launching that beast at 2000+ rpms unless you have upgraded your drivetrain. You can break some exspensive stuff by doing that. MPG's Forget about it... not gonna get any

what could be damaged? the axels im guessing? also wanted to add, i just made a ram air, kidna. i took a few feet long straight, black plastic, 3in vacumm hose attachment and stuck it right in the box and positined it. i need a 4in size one but hey it works. does it matter if the plastic gets hot (Im just curious)

you need to post up some pics of how you managed that one

and the heat is an unavoidable fact of it being so close to the engine, it wont transfer to the air fast enough going down the road to make a real big difference

you could snap the axles, blow the tranny, snap ujoints, twist driveshaft and many other things.... if you dont build it to do launches you could screw some things up

rofl, ya its a pretty weird setup, i doubt it's really making much diffrent from the one at the wheel since the actual size of the hose is only about an inch... but i though, what the heck, its worth a shot!

and ya, i think i'll be holding off of 2k launches now lol, are stand still non stalled ones still an risky thing to do?
