Default 2003 Durango Hub Assembly

Sorry if this is posted wrong. I don't get into forums very often, but this one has helped in the past. I have replaced hub assembly in the past and grinding noise has gone away. It comes back after a few months. Need to replace again. Is this and alignment issue that continues to make it go out? Just seems there is a bigger issue than the hub assembly. Any input would be great.

i would raise the same question you have about the hub going out so fast.

but i must ask the stupid question DID you get it aligned after replacing the hub?

whenever you do front end work i recommend getting a 4 wheel alignment done on the truck just to be sure that everything is in spec.

also did you replace with new hub? and did you get the correct one (for 2 or 4 wheel abs)? how many times have you actually replaced the hub?

it almost seems like you may have gotten a defective hub to begin with.

btw the fav brand on here for hubs is timken id recommend them too (i used em)

Thanks for the response. Did not get it aligned, but was wondering about that. Got the hub from O'Reillys, so I believe it was new. Looks as if I will buy another hub, replace, and then get it aligned. Note to everyone. No stupid questions. I am a rookie and feel I may over look things that are obvious to others.

another thing which is more likely than the new hub being bad (if the replacement hub went bad again in months i would take it back and demand a refund) is that the hub on the OTHER SIDE of the truck has now gone bad and is causing the noise.
